Optimize information flow with smart supply control.

Use real-time tracking for your Supply Control

Act flexibly with transparent data about your inbound process

In order to obtain real-time information about the actual inbound process and to keep the scope for action as large as possible, it makes sense to use tracking information. Since supply control represents the interface between global and internal logistics, there is a particular need for coordination. Delays in inbound operations have a domino effect on processes in the yard and warehouse.

The heart of inbound control is the notification of delivery and pickup times. But this information alone is not enough in many cases. This is where a delay warning from the service provider, the GPS signal from a tracking app or information about the delay from the truck’s telematics system comes into play. Finally, reports and KPIs allow you to evaluate in detail the quality of the service provider in terms of on-time delivery.

Many companies still have little or no information about when exactly which goods have to be prepared in order to make them available just-in-time for the shipping company, or when exactly a truck arrives at the yard for incoming goods. This presents companies with a variety of logistical problems. This is exactly where a supply control system comes in, enabling controlled storage and retrieval.

An example: An end customer orders goods and wants them delivered promptly. A carrier is then found to deliver the goods to the customer. Thanks to so-called telematics programs and the possibility of Track&Trace, feedback can be delivered to the system when so-called geofence points are passed through. In addition, these telematics programs offer time slots that the forwarder can book. Here, in addition to the time slot, he can also have a gate assigned digitally.
